The popular dating software OsDate, needed enhanced capabilities. Down Home Consulting added the capability to select from various types of forums; the ability for site members to have a blog; developed an API to make adding more capabilities easier; and added a universal import to make it easier to import information from other dating software.
OsDate site owners was limited to only one software package for the OsDate Forum. Down Home Consulting added the capability to use myBB, phpBB, Phorum and the vBulletin software pages for the forum. This gave OsDate site owners a broader selection of forum capabilities.

The members on a OsDate site was also limited to only posting messages to individual members. Down Home Consulting added a blog feature allowing users to post stories to all the members on the site. The feature allows members to create their own blog, adding and removing stories when they like.
The OsDate software was difficult to upgrade since there was no established standard for making upgrades. Down Home Consulting created an API (Application Program Interface) that makes it easy for other programmers to add capabilities to OsDate. Programmers can now create modules in a defined format and add them to OsDate by simply uploading through the installer found in the administrative section of the site.
To make the transition from another dating package to OsDate, Down Home Consulting added the capability to import the members and other vital information into the OsDate site. Now when site owners switch to OsDate, they can make the transition much smoother to their members.
