Your Needs |
The process starts with your needs. Explain to us what you need us to do for you in your own words. You can call us, email or use our contact form. What ever works for you.
If you’re clear on exactly what you want and have detailed outlines, that’s great. If not, that’s fine also. Most clients initially explain what they need in a paragraph or two. We’ll contact you for any additional information.

Quote/Estimate |
After we understand your needs, we’ll give you a written quote or estimate outlining the work we’ll perform and the results. You have the option of a quote or an estimate. Each has their advantages and disadvantages.
A quote means we work for a fixed price. The advantage is you know how much the work will cost. The disadvantage to make sure we cover any unexpected difficulties, a quote is often higher than a estimate. Also, a quote will have a detailed list of deliverables/features. If additional features are needed, we’ll write a change order, basically another quote, to cover the new features. This process can become burdensome for some clients.
A Estimate means we give you a price of what we think it will cost, but you pay for the time it actually takes. We make ever effort to stay within the quote. We also let you know if it looks like it will cost more, before we exceed the cost.
The advantage of the estimate is it takes less time to prepare and if there’s additional features or changes needed, no additional approval is needed. The disadvantage is you don’t know for sure what the cost is until the work is finished.

Contract |
To ensure we both know what to expect from each other, we require your signature on our contract. If there’s any part of the contract that may cause problems for you’re situation, we’re often more than willing to make accommodations. For small projects under $500, we have a short one page contract. For larger projects over $500 we have a longer contract.

Deposit |
We require a deposit on any project before it goes on our calendar or we begin work. The amount of the deposit is based on our credit risk evaluation.

Production Calendar |
Once we receive your deposit, your project goes on our production calendar. Depending on our work load, it may take from one week to one month before we can start on your project. If it’s a small project, we can often fit it in between dead points in other projects. It doesn’t make sense for someone to wait several weeks for something that only takes a few hours.
To ensure each projects gets our full attention, we don’t start a new larger project until we finish the project before it.

Development |
When we start on your project, we normally do all development on our development server. This eliminates the possibility of interfering with production web sites on live servers.
